A semen analysis... one of the most important tests.

The husband's role in delayed pregnancy

About 40% of the causes of delayed pregnancy come from the husband. The cause may be:

  • A low sperm count.
  • Weak motility.
  • Abnormal sperm shape.

A semen analysis must be done accurately, in a reliable lab. And simple treatments can make a big difference.

It's not all on the wife.

Low sperm motility

Low motility means the sperm don't reach the egg easily.

Possible causes:

  • Varicocele.
  • Poor nutrition.
  • Infections.

Treatment: we start with tests, then medication, and sometimes a minor procedure. In some cases we turn to ICSI.

If your doctor told you that you have low motility, don't delay.
