What is the AMH test?

The AMH test tells us about the ovarian reserve.

  • If the result is high: that's good.
  • If the result is low: it doesn't mean there's no hope, but we need to act quickly.

The test doesn't measure monthly ovulation, but it gives us an idea about the future.

Weak ovulation vs. low reserve

Many people confuse ovulation with the reserve:

  • Ovulation is the egg that grows each month.
  • The reserve is the number of eggs still left in the ovary.

A woman can ovulate well every month while her reserve drops early. That's why the AMH test is very important alongside ovulation follow-up.
